Admission Requirements and Application

● All applicants must have a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution.

The following programs do not require the GRE:
- Biomedical Informatics and Data Science
- Cancer Biology
- Developmental, Regenerative, and Stem Cell Biology
- Immunology
- Molecular Cell Biology
- Molecular Genetics and Genomics

The GRE is optional for the following programs:
- Biochemistry, Biophysics & Structural Biology
- Computational & Systems Biology
- Evolution, Ecology, and Population Biology
- Molecular Microbiology and Microbial Pathogenesis
- Neurosciences
- Plant and Microbial Biosciences

● Due to the ongoing pandemic, DBBS will be accepting the Duolingo English Proficiency Test in addition to the TOEFL and IELTS. If you have completed a full-time bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited university located in the United States or an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, then you may be exempt from the TOEFL/IELTS requirement. However, the US Immigration service may require a TOEFL/IELTS exam score if the entire program of study is less than 3 years in duration.
